Collating the end of year figures for ASSIST always fills us with a sense of pride. The hard work, commitment and financial investment of our customers to improve the health of young people in their local authorities reinforces the importance of evidence based prevention programmes.

During the academic year 2017-2018, 73 schools in the UK and France have taken part, with 10,752 students in total have benefitting from the programme.

More importantly, 1824 12-13 year old students were trained as peer supporters.

Since 2010, over 130,000 student in 750 schools have taken part with nearly 23,000 trained as peer supports. In addition, over 400 staff have been trained to deliver the programme. With an increasing rollout overseas, and a steady base in the UK, we look forward to even greater numbers next July.
